June 30, 2009 - "Survival Bucket" by silverbullet. I was asked by a friend to set him up a little survival bag (bob) for the family. He has nothing at all saved away in case something happens, and was hoping to get away with drinking warm beer from the garage and uncooked packs of Raman noodles if the shit went down Click here

How to grow lettuce in a colander
June 28, 2009 - "How to grow lettuce in a colander" By Kerry Michaels. Lettuce is a Great Container Gardening Vegetable. I love growing lettuce. It's fast, easy and is the perfect container gardening vegetable. An advantage of growing lettuce in container gardens is that it easier to protect container gardens from pests. I've had too many lettuce plants devoured before I get a chance to. Now put my lettuce container gardens up on tables or chairs to protect them from the woodchucks, squirrels and bunnies that love to feast on lettuce. Click here

Summer cleaning and a few more survivalist thoughts
June 27, 2009 - "Summer cleaning and a few more survivalist thoughts" By Joseph Parish. If you have ever seen my home you would probably wonder how in the world I managed to put so much junk in such little space, well in all honesty , it isn’t easy. Being a survivalist for so many years it is shocking to discover just how much “stuff” one tends to collect. The worse part is that many of them are duplicates and doubles. Two cook stove, at least two dozen lanterns of various shapes and sizes, abundance of miscellaneous survival supplies and of course the food. Click here

Portable Bug out Shower
June 26, 2009 - "Portable Bug out Shower" Here is a portable outdoor shower that is easily constructed at home. Showers such as these are very necessary for camping or for bugging out. This one appears easy to make and was first noted at the walk in camp for Burning Man 2006. The frame for this shower is made from inexpensive white PVC plumbing pipes. In addition there is a plastic curtain along with a standard black solar heat bag. Click here

Survival Kit for My Wife and Children after I Die
June 25, 2009 - "Survival Kit for My Wife and Children after I Die" By Joseph Parish. Not being a man of considerable wealth I still would like to leave my wife and children something of great value when I pass on. I can not leave them a vast and luxurious mansion for I haven’t the necessary funds for which to purchase one. I can’t leave then all new cars or attractive bank accounts for I am not rich enough for that act either. Click here

The Obamacare Horror Story You Won't Hear
June 24, 2009 - "The Obamacare Horror Story You Won't Hear" by Michelle Malkin. The White House, Democrats and MoveOn liberals are spreading health care sob stories to sell a government takeover. But there's one health care policy nightmare you won't hear the Obamas hyping. It's a tale of poor minority patient-dumping in Chicago -- with first lady Michelle Obama's fingerprints all over it. Give them Weapons
June 23, 2009 - "Give them weapons" By Joseph Parish. I sit here and read the daily newspaper and watch the evening news on the television and wonder what we are doing wrong. With the current political unrest which is occurring in Iran perhaps we should revert to the dominant policies that were employed by our government in the 60’s. Click here

Making Tomato Powder for your food storage
June 22, 2009 - "Making Tomato Powder for your food storage" By Joseph Parish. Whenever a survivalist considers starting their food storage plans one of the more important considerations that they must take into account is the amount of space that is available. Without adequate space one can not properly store a sufficient quantity of needed food supplies. Click here

The Flu Concern – Panic or not?
June 21, 2009 - "The Flu Concern – Panic or not?" By Joseph Parish. Here in America as well as the rest of the world we are now getting very concerned and in some cases beginning to panic over the swine flu which had its beginnings in Mexico. I do not wish to add to this panic however recently the WHO has raised the level of preparedness to that of 6 from its previous 5. What this amounts to is that we are now in a full pandemic. Even at this serious of a level we should not overreact but rather become more prepared then we previously were. Click here

Minimal Retreat Requirements
June 20, 2009 - "Minimal Retreat Requirements" By Joseph Parish. When we are in the process of bugging out to our retreat do we really need a spacious home with all the luxuries that we are used to? After all modern inventions tend to use vast sums of energy in order to run properly. Click here

Bring it on
June 19, 2009 - "Bring it on!" By Joseph Parish. Are you knowledgeable enough to survive an emergency situation? When was the last time that Delmarva area had major hurricanes with its damaging winds and torrential flooding? Would you know what to do in the event of a hurricane? How would you prepare for a possible violent storm? How would you keep your family members safe if a flood were to hit our area? Would you be able to help your neighbors in the event of an emergency situation? Click here

Is it worth making your own solar panels?
June 18, 2009 - "Is it worth making your own solar Panels?" By Joseph Parish. With the high cost of electricity these days every American family should be seriously considering the possibility of generating their own emergency in some manner. In addition, as a survivalist you may want to have some means of generating power when you are at your retreat. Foremost in popularity are the solar cells that we keep hearing about on our evening newscasts. Click here

To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration
June 17, 2009 - "To the Bonny Eagle High School Administration" by Joseph Parish. I read with interest at first and then I became a bit irritated regarding the decision by the schools administrators to withhold a student’s diploma merely because he “Blew a Kiss to his mother”. My wife and I raised three boys who are now adults and they were very much devoted to their mother. Even to this day the love flows freely between my sons and my wife. Click here
Is there a mole living next door to you?
June 17, 2009 - "Is there a mole living next door to you?" By Joseph Parish. Generally the common man has no idea as to what a mole is. I don’t mean those furry little animals which tend to make its home within the ground and destroy your lawn but rather a mole in the sense of international espionage. Click here

Emergency Telephone Failure
June 16, 2009 - "Emergency Telephone Failure" By Joseph Parish. Imagine for a moment that you are preparing to make your emergency rounds at 7 PM in the evening. It is just beginning to get dark and when last listening to the police scanner you noted some suspicious activities along your route. You don your proper gear and get ready to embark upon your task when all of a sudden the telephone system goes dead. You no longer have your primary means of communicating with other team members. click here

Is He in Our Best Interest?
June 11, 2009 - I have recently begun a new bolg entitled "Is He in Our Best Interest?" This blog centeres around one man in partiaular - Obama. We have a man here that has been elected as the leader of a great country. Unfortunately I feel his major purpose is our downfall. He has managed to move our nation so far into debt that we will never in the next decade be able to pull even the slightest out of the hole. Our purpose is to try an enlighten our fellow Americans as to this mans deceit and contempt for my country.

Not the proper time for taxing people
June 10, 2009 - "Not the proper time for taxing people" By Joseph Parish. It wasn’t that long ago during the election process that many of our politicians flat out declared that they had no intentions of increasing taxes or of causing additional undo expense on the already overburdened taxpayer. These are the same politicians ranging from the highest seat in our government to those at the city and country level that are having an about face at this time. Click here

HR1444 Obama's Mandatory Volunteer Bill
June 9, 2009 - "HR1444 Obama’s Mandatory Volunteer Bill" By Joseph Parish. Obviously the man that was elected to the office of president must be a little off his rocker. His latest proposal to destroy our country is his HR1444 bill that is currently before congress. This particular piece of idiotic legislation is Obama’s way of imitating Hitler’s Youth corp. It is a mandatory volunteerism for children. Click here

A mobile Survival retreat
June 8, 2009 - "A mobile Survival retreat" By Joseph Parish. The most frequent complaint that I hear from my fellow survivalists is simply that they can not afford to acquire land for their survival retreat. With today’s pitiable economy that is perfectly understandable. I really don’t perceive it improving in the least for some time to come. Click here

Internet on the go
June 7, 2009 - "Internet on the go" By Joseph Parish. When I am traveling I always like to be able to keep tabs on the goings on around the nation via the internet. Unfortunately as I travel along the highway and stop at one of the highly advertised WIFI Hotspots I generally find that they are useless. Often times they are so heavily password protected that I don’t even understand why the various states or agencies even bother to offer them. I was discussing this problem with my brother and he provided me with some very useful information on getting on the internet while traveling. Click here

June 6 1944
June 6, 2009 - "June 6, 1944" - On June 6, 1944, the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy to begin the invasion of Europe and to push Germany out of France and the other occupied territories. An unprecedented number of soldiers, sailors, boats, ships, guns, planes and paratroopers left England to face the heavily armed and well fortified Germans. Many brave men lost their lives in this attempt on the morning of June 6, known as D-Day, but the Allied troops kept landing on the Norman beaches for several days following. Delmarva Survival Training web site and its associated blogs salutes these brave men that were involved.

How to treat a Sprain
June 5, 2009 - "How to Treat a Sprain" By Rod Brouhard. The symptoms of a sprain are almost exactly the same as that of a broken bone. When in doubt, sprains should be treated the same as broken bones. Click here
Sorry
June 5, 2009 - "Sorry" - I apologize for the lack of posts but while helping my grandson with his homework we managed to install a virus on the computer. within only a few moments it took over the computer and the result was the need to install a completely new operating system. Once I had the system up and running again I had to catch up on my writing for my paying clients.
